Denmark Street
I will be doing some writing in English back again, after I was literally sick of so much film analysis being made in English…
Curiously, my first English entry for a long time is going to be about a Spanish online series I am getting involved with Pablo Maqueda, Pedro Román, Abigail Álvarez, Daniel Maravilla, and of course Mati Simarro, editorial manager of AOL Spinner Spain and AOL Spain Portal (who will be executing the project and promoting it in different AOL properties). The name of the series is ‘Denmark Street’, in reference to one of the most popular music streets in the world, where The Beatles and The Rolling Stones recorded some of their albums and Sex Pistols lived for a while (I guess in order to avoid the expensive travel fares in London).
Last weekend Pablo recorded a video for the Spanish Music Database Lafonoteca.net which features the band that is providing us the “Official Music” for the series. They gently came to London and I really had a fantastic time with them. Enjoy the result of Lafonoteca music video after the click…
Okay, and about the series now. Denmark Street is going to be shot during this summer as a false documentary of a Spanish music band. We will be using different locations around London analysing the universe of independent (’indie’) music.
We will be releasing it in September, probably in Aniversary Gig that Spinner Spain is planning to have in Madrid and Barcelona.
bien!!
